The Central Coast Crusaders is our senior representative program which run a number of teams in the NBL1 East conference, and the Waratah Leagues operated by Basketball NSW.

James Trustum

James Trustum is our Captain for our NBL1 Men’s team. James is another of our home grown talents and is a staple within our Crusaders team. JT’s skillset is vast, having spent time as a development player for the Sydney Kings.

JT is a deadly wing player who’s length makes him a matchup nightmare for any defender.

He is proudly partnered with Dynamic Accounting Taxation Advisors.

Luke Cassidy

Luke Cassidy has risen through the Rebels ranks and proven himself to be one of Central Coast Basketball’s most valuable talents.

Cassidy is a natural born leader and is ready to carve up the court in 2023.

In a recent statement Luke said, “I’m excited to put all my energy into NBL1 this season and show the league what the Central Coast Crusaders are all about.”

William Bates

Will is our longest serving player as he moves into his 21st consecutive year with Central Coast Basketball.

Bates has represented NSW Country on a national level and was part of the 2019 winning Crusaders Championship team.

Hammish Loader

Hammish Loader brings some championship DNA with three Youth League banners to his name. His defensive ability acts has been the backbone for all teams he’s been apart of, with his most recent feat being the 2021 Youth League defensive player of the year.

Defense isn’t the only thing he brings to the court, his basketball IQ means that the NBL1 side is never short on playmaking or lacking structure.

Starting off in humble beginnings, Al was a member of our Domestic and Learn To Play programs before transitioning into the Rebels as an Under 12 bottom ager.

Constantly evolving his game and doing everything that has been asked of him, Al earned himself a spot on the Crusaders Youth team.

Al’s offensive bag coupled with his defensive prowess have helped him bring the title home for the Cru in the last two consecutive years.
