The Central Coast Crusaders is our senior representative program which run a number of teams in the NBL1 East conference, and the Waratah Leagues operated by Basketball NSW.

Originating in the USA, Joni spent 4 years with MSU in Denver. Leading her team in three pointers made and three point percentage in her junior and senior years, she also tied an NCAA record with nine consecutive three pointers in a single game. Joni joined the Crusaders program in 2019 and hasn’t looked back. She has become a great asset to our NBL1 Women’s squad. Joni is proudly partnered with Fluid Plumbing. |

After multiple years dominating in Youth League, Sara Matthews is making the full-time leap into our NBL1 Women’s team! Matthews is a powerhouse of our women’s representative program, playing both sides of the ball and dominating the opposition. Last season, Sara finished in the top 15 players for every single statistical category in the NBL 1 East League. Her achievements don’t stop there, as she received the All-Star Five Guard Award for Youth League in 2022 and was named Youth League MVP in 2021. Jasmine is a well-known name in the Crusader’s community, having started her basketball journey as a Central Coast Rebel. The Crusaders and Central Coast Basketball has been a consistent base for Jasmine throughout her basketball career, seeing her through state, national and college teams. Darneka Rowe

Beginning her basketball journey as a Junior Rebel, Darneka Rowe has become an integral part of our NBL1 Women’s team. Her experience extends to the WNBL when she called up into the Sydney Uni Flames. Rowe is an exceptional slasher and plays at such speed with an elite level of control and calmness and when she gets going, her shot compliments her high octane offensive abilities. |

We’re excited to have Nicole Hutchins back in our NBL 1 Women’s team! As a strong stable center, Hutchins is a powerhouse on the court who grabs a lot of important rebounds.
During her first season as a Crusader, Hutchins had some outstanding breakout games including a double double 26 points and 15 rebounds!

Maddi Penn is a sharp-shooting guard and was a part of the Australian U19’s FIBA World Championship bronze medal team in 2013. Maddi’s experience is vast having spent time playing for the Sydney Uni Flames and Canberra Nationals. Maddi is proudly partnered with The Daily Coffee Brew and Block and Tackle Brewing |
