Aussie Hoops is Basketball Australia’s official introductory program, providing a fun and inclusive Basketball experience for 5-10 year-olds that serves as an introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game. In addition to promoting healthy and active lifestyles, the program serves as a platform for social development and inclusion – fostering stronger and more vibrant communities and individuals.

Aussie Hoops has been designed in three staged programs to ensure that for each age group, participants are participating in activities and games that are relevant to their physical and mental capabilities, which will increase in competitiveness until participants are ready to transition into local club competitions.

 

Term 1, 2026

Aussie Hoops runs on the NSW school terms.

Term 1 of Aussie Hoops commences the week starting 2 February 2026.

Wednesday, Friday & Saturday sessions will conclude the week ending 5 April 2026.

Please note there is no session on Saturday 7th February and Friday 3rd April. You can attend another session to make up for the missed session. 

 

We run 3 Aussie Hoops sessions a week:

Wednesdays

  • At Guzman y Gomez Stadium
  • 4pm – 4:45pm

Fridays

  • At Central Coast Adventist School
  • 4pm – 4:45pm
  • Please note there is no session on Friday 3rd April due to the Easter public holiday. You can attend another session to make up for the missed session. 

Saturdays

  • At Guzman y Gomez Stadium
  • 8am-9am
  • Please note that Saturday sessions commence on Saturday 14 February. You can attend another session to make up for the missed session.

  • Personalised Aussie Hoops singlet – With your child’s name and Local Aussie Hoops delivery center logo.
  • Aussie Hoops Backpack – Because every young baller needs something to carry their basketball gear in!
  • Sticker Sheet – Featuring all 8 of the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) teams.

 

  • A fun and engaging basketball program, delivered by accredited coaches
  • Offers to students for continued basketball involvement at a local club
  • Nationally endorsed program that is linked to curriculum outcomes
