Luca Bennett 2009-2024

To All in the Central Coast Basketball Community,

You will all be aware of the devastating accident that took place at North Avoca on Christmas Eve.

Luca Bennett was one of our own.  He was a baller.  A Rebel.

Luca was a friend, a teammate, a role model, and a proud Indigenous athlete.  He was often at the stadium where he always had time for everyone, especially our younger ballers who he was only too happy to shoot around with and support.

Luca had a cheeky twinkle in his eye and a boisterous laugh.  He was always ready to open his arms wide for a hug.

As so many of you have already, it is our turn to emulate Luca and wrap our arms around Michelle and Jason, his brothers Jordan, Jackson, Kalen, Bailey, and his sister Lauryn.  May they feel the love and strength of our entire club as we unite in our grief for a life taken far too soon.

Information about how we will honour Luca will be shared in due course so that all may pay their respects.  But for now, and particularly at this time of year, we ask that you all look after yourselves, your families, and your friends.  For parents, some services to support teens are posted below and we encourage anyone who feels they need any help to use them; or reach out to the Club for any assistance.
