We’d like to do a volunteer shoutout and thank some outstanding members of our basketball community, who helped out at various events throughout July. 

A big thank you to Em Power who volunteered all day at our latest Junior 3×3 Hustle day. Without Em’s help our event would not have run as smoothly as it did. Thank you for bringing your expertise and enthusiasm to the task!

We’d also like to do a shout out to Sarah Swaisland and Chrissy Ryan for all their help in the cafe on our last NBL1 home game. With a packed-out crowd, these legends did a wonderful job!

During our Life Member round, we acknowledged a very special member of our association. So special, in fact, we named the award after her as we presented the very first Kellie Hassab Volunteer of the Year Award!

Kellie has been an integral part of the association for over 17 years, helping in many capacities as a volunteer. She has given countless hours, from filling water bottles on the sideline for both Rebels and Crusaders, to serving on the Executive Board since 2015. Most recently, Kellie has played an important part as Chair and helped Central Coast Basketball thrive post-COVID.

We are very lucky to have Kellie and her passion for the growth of our game is an inspiration.
