Ann and Mary are regular participants in our Walking Basketball program which runs on a Friday morning from 9:30am.

We are excited to welcome Michelle Maier and Shayne Orbell to the Central Coast Basketball Board of Directors! Their expertise and passion for basketball will undoubtedly strengthen our Association and help us reach new heights.

A little bit about them:

If you have played, coached or refereed basketball on the Central Coast, then it’s a fair chance you know Michelle Maier's smiling face! Along with being able to draw upon her own state, national and overseas playing experiences, Michelle also brings 32 years of experience coaching everything from Aussie Hoops to university men. She has knowledge of BNSW pathways and has worn many hats over the years from Referee Coordinator to Fundraising Committees across the Coast. Michelle is passionate about the big picture of making basketball and the basketball community strong on the Central Coast.

Shayne Orbell is a a baller at heart, having grown up as a Melbourne Tigers junior representative, progressing from U12s through to the Men's Championship Division. Having spent a good portion of his childhood developing as a player, Shayne is passionate about giving back to the community that helped shape his family, career, and values as a person. In the corporate world, Shayne has worked as an executive leader with over 25 years of experience building technology teams across the Asia Pacific in a variety of industries and is passionate about building and coaching diverse, high-performing teams.

We are very excited to have these passionate and experienced individuals join our Board of Directors.
